Lowers torque converter stall
I have a 4l60 and was running it with a 2800 stall torque converter and I just had it fixed that the transmission pump went out and decided to change to the stock converter because I didn’t like the loose feeling of the other one
would I need to go get it retuned since it was tuned to the 2800 stall?

However you are likely removing the single best performance mod you can do. If the trans shift ponit at part throttle are set right a 2800 unless its a cheap junk converter should feel pretty close to stock just driving , Raise part trhottle shift 10 to 20 percent, Mine which is a 2800 and running 3.08 gears feel pretty much stockish at normal driving in a 4400 lb car . Now with the stock part throttle shift points yes it would feel a bit mushy but even then a 2800 should not be bad .

For a 2800 stall speed to feel "loose" it must either be a really junky/cheap low-efficiency unit or you must have a really tall gear with some really tall tires (or some combo of the aforementioned).
Your tune does not need to change. A common tune change for a high stall converter is to reduce the misfire sensitivity. That won't hurt with a stock converter.
Agreed that if you thought a a 2800 converter was loose, it was a junk/cheap unit. What brand was it?
For comparison, I have a top quality Circle D 3600 converter and I can accelerate briskly from a stop without the revs going over 2200. Of course if I mash it, it jumps to 3600
