Ultimate 6l80
Alright guys. If you had to piece together the strongest 6l80 possible. What would be the parts list?
Not looking for a conversion answer.
Looking at opinions on what are the go to bits n pieces are if you were building the strongest 6l80 possible.
I'm looking into what I need to order to make a 6l80 as strong as can be.
Heavy truck high hp build, has to be a 6l80 I'm afraid.

Sonnax 456 shaft and hub with powerglide frictions
Increased clutch count in the 3/5/r clutch. I machine these myself. Sonnax also sells them
Billet output carrier. Circle D and others have these.
That's basically the whole list for "hard parts"
You can get friction/steel module to add a friction to the 2/6 clutch but I've very rarely found that necessary
Make sure valve body is in tip top shape. Vac check, o ring end plugs, may have to ream valves.
Same with pump
I'd add a high rate pump slide spring to your list of parts too. Keep the pump in high volume position
Pressure regulator valve is almost always whooped. Make sure it gets repaired.
These are really pretty robust mechanically. It's the mechatronic valve body/techm that can throw people for a loop. Tuning needs to be SPOT ON.
