Ls with powerglide kickdown cable Planning out a project going to be just a cruiser 64 bel air with an almost stock 4.8/5.3 and a powerglide. Does anyone have experience or know of how to get a powerglide kickdown mechanism to work with a ls. Do I even need it? I've heard that without it hooked up it will shift too early? Not really wanting to use a different transmission so I can keep the stock shifter and speedo. Thanks.

You want to use a stock powerglide with an LS?
I mean, it's possible, just certainly not the popular solution.
Kickdown cable can be similar to solutions you may find for 700r4 or th350 etc
