Default Ls with powerglide kickdown cable

Planning out a project going to be just a cruiser 64 bel air with an almost stock 4.8/5.3 and a powerglide. Does anyone have experience or know of how to get a powerglide kickdown mechanism to work with a ls. Do I even need it? I've heard that without it hooked up it will shift too early? Not really wanting to use a different transmission so I can keep the stock shifter and speedo. Thanks.

You want to use a stock powerglide with an LS?
I mean, it's possible, just certainly not the popular solution.
Kickdown cable can be similar to solutions you may find for 700r4 or th350 etc
That may help you in your search.

Not having the cable will cause trans failure eventually.
