What connector or pins did you use to repair ?
oh man. From memory my friend who found that said it was a ground wire.

And that cable was a Frost 4-L60E to 4-L80E conversion adapter cable.

My friend tried to repair it but it would not stay so I just bought a new cable from “PCM of NC”, who actually used to make the Frost cable for Frost.

Connected the new cable and bam….all back to normal. The cable uses a circuit board with logic that unscrambles the shifting process. With the wrong cable or in my case a broken ground the tranny was starting off in 3rd gear and then shifting into 2nd. That’s why my converter was kicking up the second I took my foot off the brake to drive away from a stop. So we thought the converter was trying to lock up in 1st gear, which can’t happen.
it was wierd **** man…..
