Default 4L80E trans banjo fittings

On a different hot rod forum a guy is installing a 4L80E in a car and he has tunnel clearance issues in regards to the cooler lines. Some folks are saying just use banjo fittings in lieu of 45/90 degree -6 fittings. I thought I read some where that banjo fittings restrict flow since they have such a tight 90 degree as it comes out of the trans and attaches to the -6 line.
Any thoughts?

Ran them for years on my Silverado. Obtained them for an aborted typhoon build and they have been just fine. Plan to continue using them in the same transmission next life in a 73 chevelle 2 door.

They work good on my firebird. No issues.

I don't know what car he has, but on my 2000 Camaro I used banjo fittings and still had to cut a relief hole in the tunnel. That was to get the correct angle of the trans. I cut a round hole for the rear fitting and used a short piece of exhaust pipe with a cover welded on to seal it up. I tacked it to the floor and sealed it with body sealer.
