Vane size
I'm trying to find vanes for the front pump, the vane size is 0.1240" to 0.1250" thick, 0.4845" to 0.4855" wide, 0.638" to 0.639" long. Since parts for this transmission are no longer available (except for a few parts sold by Fatsco) I'm trying to see if some modern parts might fit. If anyone has a 4L60 or 4L80 laying around could you measure the pumps vane. If it's close it might be "fanagaled" to fit.
Thanks guys.
I have not seen one of those since I was a very young kid.
My Grandfather and his Brother used to specialize in the Hydramatic Transmission.
The created the original "Hydro-Stick" Transmission before B&M copied it and stole the rights to it.
Anyway, try calling David Edwards for parts: 781-449-2065.

Also thanks for the lead you gave me. I was an apprentice working on these old Hydro's back in the 70's. Then I went into Heavy trucks and worked on Allisons like the cast iron 6 speed M40/42 series, AT540, MT600, and the HT700 units. I also factory trained on the newer 300/400 series New World Allisons. Now I'm a Military truck collector trying to keep these old vehicles running. The M135 used the Dual Range HydraMatic with a 2 speed reduction unit giving the transmission 8 speeds forward and 2 speeds in Reverse.
Needless to say finding parts is next to impossible, but people still have little "stashes" here and there. You just need to find them.
