1998 4L60e on a 6.0 ls
Why can't you just get an "LS" specific 4L60e? I guess the 6.0 technically got the 4L65e...Then everything matches like it came from the factory.
Optionally you can also change out the input drum, pump stator and bell to the 300mm style and be able to use the 300mm LS converter, since you are building the trans anyway. I actually do this alot as those cores are usually dirt cheap because of little demand and the engines they came behind so anemic the parts are awesome wear and abuse wise.
NOTE : this all assumes a a pre 2007 application and not a 2006 TBSS as those require an ISS (Input speed sensor and of course the 2009 up have even more significant changes)
