4L60e low/reverse clutch
Now if you have no second or 4t then stripped sunshell
Well, as long as I've got your ear...
Over the summer I manage to smoke my 3-4 clutches when I found that fluid level was extremely low. Dry stick kinda low. Last time I was in there was like 5 years ago. Did my best at a rookie overhaul in end of July which actually worked out well despite two fatal flaws I hada take my chances with. Pump exterior surface had numerous hairline fractures in it. Didn't dare break it down as I had no reason to think it was problematic. And, in the case wormholes, I found the surface had gotten gouged up which I can only assume was my doing, though I don't know how. I worked on an old wooden picnic table.
Anywho, shockingly, the unit ran well despite flaws (but I knew id be on an expiration date), however here I am with a persistent leak as I've found it low again. I never noticed any puddles underneath this ole girl or wet areas on the case. Poured another 1/2G fluid in just to back it further my driveway which actually worked. R engaged nicely again. Maybe she leaks mainly under operating pressure?
Hoped to pick your brain for thoughts on this.Ty

You may have missed my self-deprecating type eye roll humor. Also, it wasnt a waste of time as Frank's info was just as valuable to me.
