Default 4l80e overdrive planet not going in all the way

New planetary in original drum clutch housing
New planetary in original drum clutch housing
Bushing burned the nose of the original overdrive planet. I got a used one undamaged from ebay, it said it was for 2001 and newer but who knows. I'm 99% sure my truck is a 2002 but I'm gonna find the title to make sure. This planetary snub did come with its own clutch drum and it had the newer style blue plastic and small rollers bearing. I put a new flat bearing up in the helical cut gears and took the time to.mess with the gears needle bearings to get that flat bearing out for the new one.
I put the used planet into my old clutch drum rebuilt with new bushings and clutches and steels.and piston etc. But now I discover it's not going in all the way and I can't get them to go together. I don't k ow what's holding me up an eighth of an inch but it's killing me. I don't know if I should buy a new planetary hub; I'm gonna try rebuilding the other clutch drum and see if the planet fits into that one deeper. Youtube video shows the slanted surface coming all the way down to meet the top clutch plate.
