Can someone tell me if the internal hard parts from a 07 4L60E such as pump, shafts, drums ,planet set etc. can be used in a 91 4L60/aux valve body trans

 

Theoretically, yes, the geartrain is "interchangeable," but what are you going to put it in/ what engine is it going behind? What converter are you planning to use?

@FranksCustomTrans has a pretty cool modification to use the later style pump with the TH700 valvebody, but I can't find the link right now. I'm planning to do that on my '90 Squarebody Suburban soon.

 

I'm a trans builder but haven't tried using the LS trans stuff In a 4l60 yet. it's for a BBC street rod thing.
It will be a driver not a racer. Lots of torque but no traction. As usual. It's a NO Dam Computer deal.

The planets sure will work in fact all the assembly will work except for output shaft, input drum-(can be used with shaft change) and pump -(as mentioned I do have instruction on how to use a 4l60e pump in a 700r4 but the specific 07 pump you have cannot be used. An earlier 298mm 94 up can be retroed easily)
