Need an answer quick!!! TCI 3500 question

Need an answer quick!!! TCI 3500 question ok, well i took my tc to get put in today, and the guy at the shop is telling me it wont fit! he said the spline grooves inside are bigger than the originaland are too big for it to fit. its a tci ssf 3500. has anyone had this problem, or is it even a problem? need help quick. thanks

I think that the guy who is doing the work didnt try hard enough, when I did mine it was a very tight fit and took some turning and wiggling , and turning a wiggling to get it to seat , was getting frustrated my self .. How does the guy know it to small did he measure the inside of the converter, and then measure the tranny shaft .

i really dont even have any idea what he is talking about. all he told me is that the grooves on the inside of the tc are bigger than the ones on the stock one and it wont fit. i dont know if he is just guessing by looking orwhat, but he said that they are an eigth inch too big or more. should i tell him that it will fit, just try harder?

Im not saying this guy doesnt know what hes doing , but has he ever done work like this , has he ever done a converter install before..I dont think I can tell if the converter splines are to small or to big by looking down inside the converter, maybe someone else will chime in.....

he said he has. hes a friend of my dads, so dont think he would lie to us or anything. im going to call tci in the morning and see what they have to say. im hoping they just say to try harder. thanks for the info so far.

Does anyone know if the input shafts are different sizes from LS1 tranny's compared to LT1's? I'm just wondering if you might have the wrong converter. When I bought mine(ssf3500) the guy at the speed shop almost sold me the wrong one. There was actually a mistake in the TCI cataloge they had(incorrect part number). Something you might ask when you call TCI.
