TA : P-R-D-3-2-1

Camaro: P-R-OD-D-2-1 ?

My Camaro has P-R-(D)-D-2-1, Im assuming for the TA -D- is the same thing as my Camaro's OD? Or their a difference? Why did general motors mark them differntly?

Ya'll are making it hard on your yourself. LS1rocket, You can't go above approx 120 or so because you've run out of gear in D aka 3. If you want to go faster your gonna need OD (4).


Lockup in 3rd issue. I love being able to lockup, with my converter it would drive me nuts to be unlocked. Likewise I have a very sensistive unlock below 40, toe in the gas and it instantly unlocks. Lower the 3rd geat TC unlock MPH part throttle settings, ex: 5% or more. It'll unlock a lot sooner but you'll still have it while coasting down a street

I was just wondering why gm would name the shift selectors differntly for transam and camaro, since they do the samething.

Samz28 was the first to tell me about what you pointed out, and I got to admit I was puzzled for many days before samz28 told me D was 3rd gear and I forgot to thank him, thanks samz28.
