what mph does your a4 shift into 4th gear?
Use this: http://www.f-body.org/gears/
FYI: It took me 30 seconds to find that through searching. Entered gearing calculator and searched, first thread i clicked on i scrolled down till I saw a website......boom there it was.
If you have a converter it'll shift at a few mph lower due to the looseness of the stall. With my 3.42's and vig 3200 i think it hits 4th around 125, i can't say for sure, who's looking at the dash when doing 125?

I'm pacing the guy in front of me...lolAnyway, as our car is not actually a B4C, I have heard a few people say that the B4C package is tuned differently and the PCM lets the car shift earlier (around 120) to achieve more MPH?? I don't know if this is true or not but my car never seems to get out of 3rd. I have the 3:42 gear, and it's a pain when I get up around 160 MPH...cars at 4500-5000 RPM
Anyone have insight on changing this?

Here is a table I used for building/checking my shift points with 3.42 gears.
I ran it on up to 6700 rpms to match my limiter, but 6200 is the stock limit.
6700 is good for 201.8 mph in overdrive...

K9KEV, look into HPTuners to adjust your shift points to where ever you want. This is a great software package at an affordable price!
HPTuners

But seriously, I'm thinkin that the 98-00 may not have been able to shift 3-4 without tuning.
I'm gonna look into the HP Tuner
Thanks
