Default possible problem

My car no longer second gear scratches!

When i first bought it it would scratch second gear with traction control on or off, but now it wont scratch em at all? Is something in my tranny busted? If anyone know what might be wrong or has had the same experience please let me know.

Would it still be safe to put a higher stall converter on it?

thanks in advance for all the help!

The auto tranny forum doesn't get as much traffic through it as some of the others. Also, that is a pretty vague question to get an answer for. I wouldn't worry about it...see my reply in new enthu

It happens though, I have a couple posts that never got any replies.

There are many variables. Before I had my converter(and actually had traction belowe 40 and especially before getting rid of torque management) it wouldnt always 2nd gear scratch. Tire type, wear, pressure, heat, road conditions ect all effect traction. Some days it would hook during the shift and throw me back in my seat while other days it would scratch and spin a good bit. I wouldnt worry about it. If you've never replaced the trans fulid and filter, change it, it can only help .
