I just had a new pump installed in my tranny and now it wont shift itll get to about 4500 rpms and just stay there and not shift. I took it back to the tranny shop who installed it and they told me it was my fuel filter.....well i replaced it and they were full of **** cause it didnt work and told them they said it had to do with a restriction of fuel....now i have no ideas what it could be. It does it in every gear.

 

A few Q's. Does the car pull hard? Does the trans slip? Have you looked to see if everything is plugged up to the trans? Have you checked the fluid level?

car pulls normal I guess? I have no clue if the trans would be slipping or not the guy took it for a drive and told me it was my motor that it was a restriction of fuel...it was cuttin out when i floored it so i have no clue and the fluid level is fine. Would the A.I.R lines have anything to do with it cause I know I have a leak in them and they're burning up against my valve covers and theres 2 pcv valves instead of 1 because we had to rig it up cause i got 01 heads and i had 98....

 

What was the car doing before the pump install?

well i blew my motor and got it fixed then the pump went out. It was fine before my motor blew.

 

How was the car acting in between the motor and pump swap?

like when the pump was out....itwouldnt goin gear it felt like it was in neautral

 

Does the trans shift at part throttle? Any programing be done to the computer?

yeh it shifts normal at part throttle but not at full throttle...no programming all i have is a jet chip that came withthe car wheni bought it

 

I do not think you have a transmission issue. I not sure what to tell you, but I think you have a engine issue. Maybe you let someone with autotap look at it.
