i wouldnt say its neccessary but
one of the valves i put in the pump said it allowed more fluid flow to the converter i think it helps cut down on the shudder you sometimes get with a stall

i want some power along with my stall i have determined to go with a 35 or 3600 stall so what would be best factory 2.73 or 3.42 or a 3.73 a lil worse gas milage would note hurt that bad or 2500 rpm at 70 mph would not be terrible as far as a 3.73 goes but i just want the most power out of my gear ..... its hard to decide b/c everyone hates or loves a 3.73 and i figure if nothing else u cant go wrong with a 3.42 besides the 2.73

I have 3.73's and a 4000 stall. Car is my daily driver. It had a 3600/3800 in it before I needed a lil more stall. Make sure you go 3500 or bigger on the stall and you will be real pleased with how fun your car will be to drive.
