Default Installation Cost TC.

the i was trying to get cost of getting a TC installed. It cost around 400 bucks!!! my Tc only cost me 450. Is this installation cost the average?? (This is for TC install, tranny cooler + basic tuning for TC). Any one know any reliable ppl u do it for less around the DFW area?

I called around recently and was quoted 390.00 to install TC and shift kit and trans cooler.

that sounds a little high but not bad. mine was 275 just for the tc. you can do the cooler yourself....it's really easy!

i payed 450$ just for an install. i wouldnt complain seeing that there doing ur cooler and basic tuning. if i was to get alllll of that done it would cost over 1,000$

I just did mine myself, over here it's between $350-$550

It gets easier the more you do it

Call Jason at TDP(Texas Drivetrain Performance), he's in Haslett out by the Texas Motorspeed Way. I can't post on this board what he charges but it's cheaper than anything you've seen posted so far in this thread. Jason is a GM trained technician and good at it and a hella nice guy. we are swapping my friend's car to a 6-speed, and it wasnt too much work to get the TC out. just tedious getting to all the bolts, and really messy

I paid $250 for the TC install, another $175 for the Transgo & Oil cooler. $425 total.

I went to a small mom & pop shop that I have done business with for over 25 years.
