Whats the max amount of horsepower and torque a stock 4L60e can hold? Also will installing a shift kit, tranny coller, and a stall allow it to hold more?

Hi Git, Of course the stall will help you launch much faster than stock and the cooler will help compansate for the added heat created from the high stall torque converter.
Transgo Reprograming Kit will improve clutch & band apply timing & and increase feed speed to the clutches and band when shifting under high torque. ( positive shift feel= no slip = more power transfered to the rear wheels :-)
Of course the stock torque rating of this transmission is rated by GM as 60 and we all know thats about the same as a THM350 or ALUM Powerglide, so to handle more horsepower the things mentioned above are a good start but also stronger, different than stock parts and cutting edge tech will prove this to be a really great trans able to handle much more horsepower than some are giving it credit for.
Just remember you can't cut corners and "Cheaper ain't better" more to come on high horsepower holding 4L60E's .....Matt
