Default Oregon Transmission

I've been talking to another guy on another forum who owns an '02 Z28 and this has come up. I bought a TC about 2 months ago from a guy with an LT1 car, I then sold it b/c I wasn't going to put it in my car. The guy I sold it to has an LS1, he said that Vigilante told him that it wouldn't fit in his car b/c the driveshafts on the LT1 is different from the LS1. Is this true?

The guy I'm talking to has two converters from Oregon Transmissions, one in his Z and one in his Impala, both 4L60e cars. On ebay, they say they're for 93-96 cars and 30 spline cars. These converters are cheap and he says he loves it.

I was wondering if one will fit my LS1? He said he had no problems with his.

I searched for this company and nothing came up, anyone else have any experience with them? I'm not wanting a race car, just a faster than normal daily driver.

Thanks guys.

I just bought a tranny cooler from oregon performance transmissions. Nice guy, seems honest. Hell, he has 100% positive ebay ratings and that is with over 3000 transactions.

Yes, the guy I was talking to said they're great people. I was wondering about the LT1 4L60 and the LS1 4L60....will it still fit? I guess I can write the guy on ebay.

Thanks, I'm glad someone has at least transacted with them. I appreciate your response.

The driveshafts have nothing to do with the t/c's. A lock up 700r4, 4L60 and 4L60e use 30 spline input shafts. I have never heard of a difference, but, that's not to say there isn't. I would like to know if anyone has more knowledge on this.

If you're asking does an LT1 converter fit an LS1, the answer is no.

I'm wanting to know if this here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT

Will fit my LS1.

I wrote to the guy but haven't gotten a response yet.

Yes, I know they're different. I want to know if my tranny meets these requirements.

1985-93 TH700-R4, 1993-96 4L60E, 30 spline transmissions

It says 30 spline transmissions. This guy has one in his LT1 Impala and his LS1 Z28 and I don't see how that's possible.
