Default Help with converter choice.

Sometime this spring I want to purchase a new stall converter for my TA.
I'd like to get some opinions on what would be the best application for my car.
I have a 1996 WS6 TA with an LT1 that makes 380rwhp@6000 and 363rwtq@4600. Cam specs are 218/228 and .525/.525. The car weighs 3400 with me in it. It has 3.73 gears with 17" Nittos on the street and 17" E/T streets at the track. This is a street driven car(96' with 58k miles) which I take to the track several times a year. I want to be able to lower my e/t and raise my mph as much as possible with the car still able to be daily driven. I am sure I can handle a little loseness. At the track I know it is killing my times having to start from idle and a roll. I run a 12.4@112 now, so hopefully with a new converter I can hit 11's; this being one of my goals for the car.
Hopefully I have given enough info. above. Please let me know what you would recommend.
Thanks.

Take a look at the SS3600. If that were my car, that's what I'd be putting in it.

I always heard that LT1 car's do better with a lower stall like 2800-3200? I would call Yank & do some searching.. With the right stall you should be able to meet your goal's.

It doesn't matter so much what motor he has in his car as much as where that motor is peaking. With his motor peaking at six grand and with his 3.73 gears, a 2800-3000 stall converter would help, but optimally he should really have a higher stall.
