worst speed for ls1 A4 roll race?

my friend is going to race an a4 ls1 trans am that has exhaust as his only mod. my friend's car is a manual, but slower, running a best of a 13.9. the trans am will go from a roll. so i was wondering what speed of a roll will benefit my friend most, since he has a manual and can select the gear. like maybe a speed where the ls1 a4 will be at low rpms but the transmission won't downshift. something like that, that could help my friend make it a more even race.

32-40MPH

If you are around 30 or slower the A4 will downshift to 1st gear

35 mph. Worst possible place to gun the gas with stock gears and more importantly the stock torque converter. But a nice 3500-4000 stall will fix that

Run the A4 at 25-30mph. Make it a good race. If you race from 35-40 then the m6 will have an advantage because of gear selection. This is with an A4 with 3.23 rear end. 2.73s then 40mph for the fairly easy win.
