a dime got into my gears? Hi guys bear with me if I am being an idiot, but I accidentally slipped a dime inbetween the plastic ribs in the shifter of my a4 98 z28. could this damage anything? thanks.

I don't think it can hurt anything. There isn't anything in there for it to get stuck in. It's most likely just laying on the floor. If you want to make sure, just take off your center consol and you will see what I mean.

nah I was cleaning out my car, dropped it o the little plastic ipeces behindd the shifter and it slipped between them by accident when I tried to grab it. cause the pieces push down ya know? lol

yea I did get it out. Thinking about replacing the whole console. mine's 6 years old, showing its age a bit ya know? but thanks for the help I apprecate it big time!
