got wrong TC, but should i keep it???
Here is my dilema; I bought a torque converter from one of our sponsors who should remain anonymous that was used by them for testing and only had 400 miles on it. they told me it was the new ssf tci 4000 that has the anti-balooning plates and all of that for use of nitrous. well i recevied it and it is the tci competition 3800. my question is, should i keep it or send it back? my current/near future mods are stock heads, tsp 231/237 cam, 3.73 gear, all the boltons, and tnt f2 kit spraying a 150 shot. do you guys think the 3800 will be good enough for that cam and spray. any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks, Matthew.

What do you mean by that? The converter(4000) wont hold it?? I thought it was ment for spray?

sounds like a smart man right there.......or at least one who listens alot.....LOL(whats up Jeremy, you were supposed to call me back and let me know the converter fit!!!!!!!)
he is telling the truth though, It is the reason my car runs better on a 100HP shot than on the 150shot. The converter cant hold the extra power, and just lets it "blow" though the converter........wasteing energy, nitrous, and time.......and building a crapload of heat!!!!!!!

ok so it turns out that it is the 4000 after all, just the outside case is from a comp 3800. it should be a great converter and i will let everyone know how it does. i haven't heard a lot of feedback on these yet. the sponsor that had it before sprayed a 180 shot on it, and had no problems. thanks guys
