Default Will a th400 or 4l80e fit in a C5?

I know the corvette has the rear mounted transmission setup, and was wondering what transmissions you could swap in. It doesnt seem like a built 4l60e can hold 700+rwhp reliably from what I've seen. Keeping 4 speeds would be nice, so a the th400 would need to be able to fit a GV od unit too. The rossler 400s obviously can handle power, but can they fit in a C5? Thanks, and sorry if these are obvious questions, but I havent done much with domestics before.

Yank has had a T400 conversion for C5s for quite some time. It's very trick and can handle a mountain-load of torque. The 4L80s can be made to work, but require floorpan surgery as the T400s do not.
