Default HCI Torque converter

thunderracing is having a sale on tci tc 3000 stall 440 bucks. My car has slp underdrive pulley, 85 mass air 80 mm tb, slp y pipe loudmouth lid and predator I currently ran 13.1. What do you think I will ran with this set up my rear is 3.23. Also what is the going rate to install the converter and cooler? I live in central NJ. The car is a daily driver so I dont want to go over a 3000 stall. Also is there anything else i need to make this a complete job?

A torque converter s a good idea, but I recommend at least a 3500.

-I just had a TCI 3500 and shift kit installed the other day. It was by far the best mod I have done. I did not lose the daily driver feel at all either. I would not recommend a 3000, I was worried and read for a few months before I finally bought the 3500, but am glad I did and can even see myself wanting to go bigger in the future. I have 3.73 gears with mine. I paid $350 for install of TC and shift kit.

My 3500 did hurt my gas mileage a bit though

My guess with that TC your times will drop to around 12.7 or so. Like the others on the board here said go with the TCI 3500. Also don't forget about a tranny cooler, shift kit and a tranny temp guage would be nice. Install for everything would be around $400.00. Tuning might be required to set shift points, lockup and Torque management. I had a predator so that worked for me. Good luck.
