Default TCI tranny controller

just wondering if you guys could help me out on a few things. First off, just got it installed. I was playing with some of the parameters today. I dont understand what some of them are, or what they do so I didnt touch them. Also was wondering if any of you guys have the controller, and what settings etc. you use. One more....after driving around for 15-20 minutes the tranny temp looked like it was holding steady at 73*C....or 164*F. Is this cool enough? Just want to make sure the tranny cooler is big enough. Thanks in advance.

I could also help. I run one currently and have it dialed in as close to perfect as possible.

also....some of the parameters. what are they and how do they work, and what do they affect:
MAP (kpa)
AUTOML
BUMPUP
BUMPDN
SPARE
filtrd_PAC
Downshift Hysteresis
Rev. LP Kick(%)
Econ/Perf LP Kick(%)
All the TCC Lockup parameters
Slapstick parameters

also....I have read that raising line pressure will KILL the tranny, so I am just using factory pressure.

Thanks a ton for any info.

I'll see if I can help you.
The MAP is a feature that isn't used (MAP sensor that indirect measures engine load.)
The AUTOML is an internal function of the TCU.
The Bumpup and Bumpdown is only if you use the manual shift feature...which is pretty darn cool BTW.
The Spare is an internally used engine function.
The filtrd_PAC is internally used.
The Downshift Hysteresis is used to determine part throttle downshifts.
The Reverse Line Pressure kick is typically used to reduce the transmission line pressure which reverse is engaged. This is typically a negative number around -15-25%.
The Econ/Perf is used to used to increase the transmission line pressure when the Econ/Perf wire is grounded. This is typically set at 25%.
The TCC lockup parameters simply tell your torque converter to lockup. This is typically set to 45-50 mph for a car with a decent size cam. The lockup delay is the number of seconds after the required vehicle speed has been reached before the converter locks up.
The slapslick parameters deal with the manual shift option and are preset.
As far as raising the line pressure...it's good for the clutch line...bad for the pump life. I wouldn't recommend maxing out the line pressure all of the time with a bone stone pump...but I would max out or get close to it at WOT.

kjmdrumz3,
You simply apply a constant +12 volts to the man/auto wire...that changes it to manual shift mode. Then apply +12 volts to the bump up or bump down wire to go up or down through the gears.

I like this for a bump switch...a wireless steering wheel mounted unit.
