Does Vig. have anything to compete against this?
Just curious if Vig. makes a converter that can compete against the SY serious of Yank.
Something with a 2.1 or lower STR and 3500 or higher stall
thanks for the help

i'm not positive on this, but...
the vigilante 3200 i thought had an str of like 2.2 , but in reality it stalled closer to 3500 than the 3200 it lists. anyone else?

the super yank is what i would call a street tire converter. its a 10" with a 1.6-1.8 STR and stall is right at 3500. big efficiency, soft launch.
the vigi3200--which i have--is HARD on tires, the 9.5" diameter lets it flash quicker to its ~3800rpm stall speed. your right about the STR though.

Vig 2800 is closest; a little harder hit off the line, but it retains pretty good efficency and has almost the same midrange gain.
I have the TCI part# 242932 converter which is a brand new unit. The stall is 3500 and the str is 2.0. efficiency is around 96 to 97% and I love it. Took it to the track yesterday for testing and it took five tenths off my previous best with the stock converter and with a little more traction there is more potential. For under $500.00 you cannot beat it! Since it is a new part number, just contact Kevin Winstead at TCI.
