Default 2-3 shift problem, searched.. Unique?

ok i did a search. The problem im having is the shift from 2-3 which have read is due to the 3-4 clutch pack most the time. Well my problem is anytime i try to hold it in second past the rpm it would usually shift to 3rd in if i didn't hold second it won't go into third until i back off to half throttle or so. If i live it in 3rd it will shift out of 2nd into 3rd in what i would consider a normal fashion. So what would cause it not to shift out of 3rd when i try to hold second?

5600 is the normal shift point. If i try to hold it past 5600 at all it just keeps reving in second and won't shift to 3rd unless i let off the gas

How long ago did you install the Trans-Go Performance Shift kit? what torque converter are you using? what is the rear end gear ratio? I might be able to help you on this, let me know?

Transgo has been on for about 30k miles with no problems. I started having the problem when i put my new engine in, i was thinking it could be tuning for it but i can't think of any table that would cause this problen. I also changed the torque converter when i changed the engine and im using a 95 s10 converter i belive... which is supposed to be equivalant to the trailblazer converter a lot of the truck guys are running. it flashes at about 2800 rpms. The rear end ratio is 3.42 but the tires are a little smaller than factory so it puts the ratio closer to 3.73
