PT4000 in my stock powered 2000 SS. I just switched from a PY3400 when I installed a freshly built tranny. This converter hits hard. I'm not sure I'll be able to better the times that the car was running with the PY3400 until I get some better hooking tires. My car really wouldn't spin the tires from a roll with the PY3400 but it lights them up from anything below about a 30 roll now. And this is with only 308 to the tires with the other converter. I'm sure it's actually less now. Shift extension on this converter is way up there too. According to Yank it should be around 5600 RPM. I haven't checked it officially but you hardly notice any drop in RPM's at all when the tranny shifts. The PT4000 is a good converter for the track with slicks, maybe not the best for the street. Just my opinion of course.

I'm running a TCS that stalls to 3800 on the brake. It's REALLY tight on motor but 60's great on the bottle.

Old: TCS 3500/2.2, just about right with 2.73 gears for a daily driver

Currently: TCS 3200/2.5, it was a nice converter with 2.73 gears for a daily driver, a little tight, barely different than stock, with 3.42s its too tight

Give me a few weeks to get the time to put it in as it's sitting in a box in the living room right now: TCI 4000/2.8, with the 3.42s I'm thinking this will be just about right as my car isn't a daily driver anymore. Should be a little loose for a daily driver but just about right for a weekend cruiser.

I have a vig 3400 5 disc now. Pretty mellow around town, and locks up rock solid even at 80% throttle. I used to have a ssf 3800 and it hit hard at the track. I got a bunch of 1.4 60's. Unfortunately the tranny couldn't take the abuse and had to go the 4l80e.
