You might consider posting a little more info on your converters and maybe a couple pictures of one cut open. People tend to be nervous about lower priced goods and since warranty claims can swamp a small company, the pictures might demonstrate the build quality.

You might also mention whether your rating is based on RWTQ or measured before converter and drivetrain loss.

That is a really good idea. I have some and I'll try to get them up by the end of the day. Thanks.

The warranty and upgrade policy looks great. Also, I have never heard a single complaint from anyone.

Thats a good write up. Plus it seems to point a little at Fuddles converters stock cores. That blue converter looks exactly like my TCI 3000SF in the th400.
Plus I thought those were supposed to have a anti-balloning plate???
It looks like a rebuilt core.
Now it wouldn't matter if it worked as promised.
FWIW I've been looking at my credit card and thinking of ordering one.
Maybe after the people in that group purchase post up a review I'll make up my mind.

I consider most of the reason why Yank are so expensive is because of the billet base. Yeah its better than a steel one, and looks really cool. But this selling feature is moot since its being hidden in the tranny.

No doubt there are other great selling features, but when you consider the success of TCI at half the cost you have to assume a lot of the market isn't willing to pay those prices. Yank are a reputable brand and are one of the biggest names in the business, but I think there is stiff competition ahead.

The proof is in the doing. There must be some ppl. out there who have received their Fuddle by now and can provide some feedback.

I talked to my buddy today, he's leaving the dealership
and opening his own shop (last day = today), so it'll be
another week or two before I have anything to report.

I haven't installed my "baby" 2600/2.2 STR stall in my street-driven only LT1, but the converter came in just a few days after someone on John's staff said it was shipped. Anyways, he got me in on a group purchase for it and his customer service was very good (responded to all my e-mails and even called me personally while at work to discuss exactly what would be best for my car). He seemed very knowledgeable on the subject (as I thought I already knew a lot) and Fuddle Racing's website is very informative as well.

I can't speak for the actual performance/reliability of the converter as I won't be having it installed anytime soon, but John Cameron (owner) seems like a great guy to deal with and has the knowledge & customer service to back up his torque converters...

For those who install them soon, keep us posted on the results!

Mike

I just wanted to say, I emailed John about my converter not arriving yet and he responded to my email very quickly and is checking it out. I would say my experience with John so far has been great.

Probably a damn USPS screw up....

It got shipped on Friday 3/11 and got to me Saturday
3/19 (was predicted 3/18; oh, well) by USPS parcel
post. So if you're similarly far from Utah as I am you
might expect 8 days. Which I guess would be today?
But Post Office makes "estimates", not guarantees.
What do you want, for $38.xx in postage? Service,
or something?

John checked it out for me, and emailed me back. They told him I will get it tommorow or monday at the latest. Again, amazing service by John to get it checked out so fast.

I have always used UPS, had good luck with them, like their tracking system, etc. Not such a big fan of USPS. I am in Kansas City, so I am actually closer I think....

Recently I have been pretty disgusted with USPS and I don't like associating myself of my company with them with the way things have been turning out. I am looking into other options as of now and I hope to find a carrier that takes good care of our packages without charging an arm and a leg.

I can't speak for everybody else, but personally I would be willing to pay more to have it shipped UPS. I used to buy and sell alot of things on Ebay, and I always used UPS, everything I shipped I could give the buyer a tracking number that is updated regularly, unlike USPS, and everything I shipped or recieved via UPS got there in good shape. Not that they are perfect, I am sure many have had problems, but that is just my experience.
