This is the same thing I'm looking for out of a converter.

I want:
- a decently tight feeling (I know it will be looser than stock, I just mean not completely loose) I have 2.73s.
- efficient (it's my daily driver)
- also effective at going from a roll
- 3,000-3,500 in stall speed.

What should I go with?

I'm more of a show off than a drag racer.

I'm gonna try and get a SSF3500 or a SS3600.

I went with a custom built TCI 3,200 with a 2.2 str. Cost was 419.00 plus shipping. Very pleased with it so far.

Wow, that sounds like it may be the way to go then. What gears do you have and how tight does it feel?

342 gears and it feels tight. You can notice it but not bad at all. I purchased it from Trevor at Texas speed. It only took 3 days to have it built and a few days for shipping.

Excellent. Trevor might be hearing from me then sometime this Spring/Summer. Do they have any kind of warranty on their converters?

One wonders if they don't simply call a 3000 a 3200 and call it good. My guess is that our 3000's will flash stall a little higher than 3000. Gotta get the Nittos on to find out. But otherwise, all they do is bend the blades a little bit on the same stall ... you lose a little efficiency and gain a little stall speed.

I have run both of these converters. They are good on the street and good on the track. I was able to roast the tires from 30mph and could cut 1.68 60’ (best of 1.62) all day long. I ran 11s with both converters.

John

I 2nd the PI vig, my 3200 is a fun converter. great 60' at the track, very driveable as mine is a dialy driver. As far as roasting the tires at low speeds, no problem at all
