Default Gear Vendors overdrive

any opinions on the Gear Vendors overdrive setup for the TH400? had a brain fart and thought about going this route when my 4l60 decides it doesn't love me anymore. figured the TH400 w/Gear Vendors overdrive might be a more stout option than moving up to a 4l80, and I'd also be able to trans brake the 400. Thanks, and remember, this was just a brain fart.

It will do exactly what they advertise it to. You can upshift it or downshift it WOT with 1200HP under the hood. The only thing the manual asks you not to do is downshift while engine braking and towing. I obviously do not have the means to test its limits but I will tell you it holds up to some incredible abuse in a 6000 pound Tahoe. With the unit installed I've broken the rear end and the trans twice all without damage to the Gear Vendors Overdrive.
