We normally charge $250 and $50 more if getting a transmission oil cooler at the same time on F-body's. Usually need 4 quarts of ATF to top them off afterwards. I would try a transmission shop as most seem to have ppl that just R+R transmissions for the tech's to rebuild. Thats prob the cheapest way.

$450 is too much. If you can find someone to help you in your area you can do it on your back. $250 seems much more in line.

250 for a complete tranny/converter swap out. The owner of the shop if a good friend of mine. No extra charge for any fluids.

In my area, most shops where charging $400-$500 for the install. At $80 per hour, it adds up. One of those reasons to do it yourself or find a few friends.
