Hi guys, This is my first post.Man,there are some knowledgeable people on this forum. Anyway, here's my question:How hard is it on the 4l60e doing a WOT kickdown from 3rd to 1st at 27 MPH. (2.73 gears, totally stock 1998 Z28 with 36000 miles)

1st holds up well. I've done more 3-1 wot downshifts than I can count. Not stock motor, stock trans with 3200 stall. 41k miles.

I think he means doing an automatic downshift with the throttle, not physically pulling the shifter into a lower gear, I think.
