Default 4L60E Help....

I went to the track tonight and made 3 passes. On all 3 runs the tranny shifted at 5400 from 1st to 3rd. The 60ft was good in all 3, 1.59 the best. It still ran 11.57@122. I have a top of the line Coan built 4L60E. When driving it at normal street driving it is fine, but at WOT at the track it didn't shift to 2nd. Could this be the tuning for the tranny, or could it be the tranny itself. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Mike

Thats most likely tuning issues Mike. (Do you have to turn the car off and restart to get it out of 3rd?). This Happens sometimes with a very loose stall, and has to be tuned out. Its VERY common with a LT1 when they 60 hard. However, if you do the 1-3 shift very many times, you wont have a trans for long.

FWIW, You should be DEEP in the 10s when its worked out!
