A4 fluid level. How critical?

A4 fluid level. How critical? I recently overfilled my tranny. Took some fluid out, but it still is over the level marked on the dipstick (anyone else have a tough time getting an accurate read on that stick?) So assuming its still a little over, how critical is it? Will a little over hurt anything? Thanks.

Aftermarket Tranny pans often have a drain plug, but if yer stock, dropping the pan a little is the easiest.
Pull all but the four corner bolts. Loosen one corner almost all the way out, then drop the two closest corners a little and it shoudl pour eaisly out for you.
