Auto not shifting right.......
If i drive the car manually from 1 up through 4, the car will shift when i tell it to up until 4th...still doesn't do 4th..but it will shift with me manually doing it through 3rd anyways.
Now, if i have the car in 3 or D or even 2 i beleive..off the line..the car bogs badly and is slow of the line....horribly slow...like it is stuck in a higher gear or something. It isn't starting off in 1 at all is what i am getting at.
the only time it starts in 1 is when i make it from what i am seeing........
So, i don't get a OD shift, my car doesn't shift on it's own if left in 3 or whatever off the line..(starts in too high a gear) and only shifts from 1 on if i make it manually....
i have read something about solenoids causing this....jsut wnat to know if this is the case from what i am explaining. i do not have a SES light on. I am taking it to the dealer tomorrow for a drive with a scanner to be sure everything is commanding and responding correctly....
any ideas?
You definitely need a scan tool on there, it'll tell you immediately what's going on. If you aren't getting any shift solenoid control, the transmission will be in 3rd gear all the time, unless manually selected with the shifter. What about the connector on the pressure switch pack inside the pan? Is that plugged in?Its starting to sound very strongly like an electrical control problem.
that is what it is doing...like it is in 3rd taking off hard.....and man is it slow tll about 4K rpms!! ha ha, then it comes alive agian.....woudl get my *** handed to me by civics right now..ha ha
yes, pretty sure all connections were on....had the pan off too so i looked it over...
thinking electrical now too...hopefully so, that is a easy fix
