Default 4L80E with trans brake?

Who, besides me has one? Rossler built this for my CE with all the goodies inside. Won't have any trouble handling 1000RWHP. Will be controlled by Bigstuff3 with fully electronic shifts and lockup also.
Will be trying it out real soon.

Quick question can Rossler also change the 4L80E to vacuum modulated like the 4L60E can? So youo dont have to deal with the electronic part of it all?

You don't have to be specific if you don't want to for some reason? but how much does something like that cost? The whole package, not just the brake.

I am trying to decide if I should go with a variable stall lockup glide or a fancy
4L80E. I know they are two totally diff. animals but both will be a final trans. purchase and I will be rid of the 4L60E.

Thanks

Does Rossler have a number I can call about him building me a 4L80E to handle 750 RWHP and up to 1000RWHP? How much are we talking here?

As far as pricing goes you will have to talk to Carl Rossler himself. But I will say that it is very comparable to a VERY well built TH400 with a Gear Vendors. Mine has billet input, drum, sleaved, extra clutches and a few other goodies.
Since Rossler isn't a sponsor here yet (I tell him to everytime I talk to him) I won't post contact info. But just put Rossler in your search engine and you'll see his website with all contact info.

We currently offer a 4L80E that has has at this time handled 750 rwhp and 1000 rwtq in Parish's Silverado. We currently at this time though do not offer a trans brake for the 4L80E.

I have talked to Carl Rossler about building my 4L60E.
It is expensive, I don't mind spending the money once.
But I have heard everyone's 4L60E's break often.
I cannot justify that. All that money to just break?
I have been told that it is just inherently a poor design.
Small shafts, band on 1-2 shift, poor gear spacing.....etc
I am figuring an all out Glide or a 4L80E and still drive it on the street?
I just have not heard of too many 4L80E success stories?
Have you?

Precision Industries sells a lockup converter. But im pretty sure almost any converter manufacturer who makes 4L80E converters sells a lockup unit.

No SFI bell yet that I know of.
Midwest built my converter and will be able to be locked up at WOT.

So far it seems no-one else is running a 4L80E like you are going to?

I am interested in the trans brake also. I have a Hughes 4L80E in my car now. I have the TCI controller. I am about a week from running. The set-up is a turbo 383 with the 480LE trans and P.I. 3200 lock-up converter. Engine should be around 800-900 hp.

I'm sure it can be built as a full manual valve body. And the only problem with a ratchet shifter is fitting it in a stock console. If you're not worried about keeping it factory looking, then I'm sure you could do that too. I think B&M just started selling some bracket or template or something that bolts to the side of your factory shifter to make it a ratchet shifter.....I think.
