I just got a SSF3500 installed and I kinda wish I went bigger. IMO, 3500 is great for a daily driver. Mine doesn't feel loose at all, and after the first day I got used to it.

I think you should go bigger or you may regret it. FWIW, I had to ditch my CAI cause the trans cooler wouldn't fit over the radiator with both the cooler and CAI there. Obviously I like my tranny more than .1 of a second, so I ditched the CAI.

I don't know how it is on the GTO, but get some feedback from some others who have a stall.

I love my TCI 3000. Where you have 3.42 gears the 3500 might be fine for you. Depends on what you are looking for. Mine flashes to about 3100-3200rpm, shift extension is awesome.

I have 2.73s so it would be tighter with a deeper rear gear.

But how much more tight would it really be Frosty?
I dont wanna ruin the car and I only want a max ET of 12.50's out of the car

I went 13.70's on Thurs. with the car,I know DR's will drop the car .2 now and the tune should net me .15 and the headers .15 and the 02 cam about .2 which should be about 13.00's,then u throw the 3000 stall in the mix and it has to be good for at least .4 to .6 in ET?

That gets me 12.50 to 12.60 and thats all I want...
I think I'll call Kevin Winstead and talk to him..

3500 here and love it with stock (3.23). You can't tell much of a diff. from stock in normal driving. It's not like you have to wait tell 3500 to take off. When I power brake, wheels start spining before 2000rpms.on the (goodyear). My dino guy did say it is to much stall. I think it was perfect. My dino guy said when you go that big you need at least 3.73 gears. I think he is full of crap. the drag strip will tell.
