Default how much trans fluid do you need to put into a new converter?

I am helping my friend put on his new Yank converter in his trans am and he just poured in a little fluid into the converter, I don't think it was even half a bottle, maybe close to half. Do you think thats enough fluid for a new stall?

I was able to get a full quart in mine, I think the directions said 1/2 to 1 qt, i'd try to get the other half in, if just takes a little time. Good luck.

Would 3/4 fluid be enough for a new converter? Or would this cause damage to the new converter?

1/2 a quart would be enough. As soon as the engine starts the fluid starts circulating, it'll pump into the converter within seconds. Be sure the fluid level in the trans stays good during this time.
