did u change to a taller tire or a smaller tire since u were tuned

I had the same problem. Turned out to be my tranny going out. Eventually you will lose 4th gear while just normally driving on a 700 mile road trip. Ask me how I know....

nikkev that happened to me. i had to drive 2 hours back in 2nd gear at basicly WOT.
it sucked hardcore. were you reading my past posts?

LS6: hmmm. yes acually. i did get new tires. they are the stock ws6 rim size, but the walls may be slightly shorter\taller. this would have that kind of effect?
tomorrow i'm going to get a tranny flush and refill. then goto the strip. =)

well what i meant was say u were tuned on a 26 inch slick and then u change over to a 28" then it would hit the revlimiter cause your mph is diffrent on a 28 then it is on 26 and the way the car is set to shift is with mph not rpm even going from a 26 to a 27 can make a diffents ( sorry about te spelling i am typing with one hand other had is hurt from work)

Thanks for the info. that's my problem then forsure. I Doubt i'm having a 3-4 solinoid go out, or even the gears. 1)The tranny is brand new 2)it only has problems at WOT.

I have the same problem....I changed the gears to 3.73 and had someone up my rev limiter and correct the speedo with hpt...but I still tag it on the 2-3 shift.....However if I leave it in Drive instead of OD it helps alot..........but i still hit it at the track

My'98-z If you are still hittin the rev limiter come back up here and we can set the rev limiter again Give me a call and we can set something up. I did another car this weekend and it was like night and day after tuning his car! pm me or something!

same thing is happenin to me. i am told it is the clutch packs. I am gettin the tranny fixed up

blackecho...3.73 and a stall is prolly your problem..you prolly need transrev/mile adjusted....

I would take it to a shop, and check on maybe changing plug wires, plugs, etc, fuel filter maybe, any other ideas? or maybe not at all?
