Default nitrous/NA convertor compromise?

i have a vig3200 and i want bigger. what would be a good converter compromise between the two. if you read my other post in the engine section, i wanted a certain goal NA. but most say it requires a TP4400. but that doesn't mix well with the nitrous. so what do you guys think for a converter that will be great for NA, but still work with nitrous for occasional runs? thanks

Chris

edit-anyone try out that Yankk Thruster Extreme 4000 yet? seems like a good match.

My vote is the Vig 3200. That's right, keep what you got. It appears that it's going to work out great for my plans to spray, and I've done real well with it with just bolt ons

I plan to run it until I get a new tranny. Maybe even have yours uped to 3600.

You might contact Patrick G and see which converter he had in his T/A Ram Air. He picked his converter purposefully because he new he would be spraying the car.

He had the pro extremes in his car. I believe he said the 3400 was more for nos use and the 3600 was more for na use. I could have those backwards though so don't quote me.

I'd leave it alone Chris! I doubt you could go over a (true) 4000 stall that worked well on squeeze.

Don't redo stuff in anticipation of other mods you have not even bought yet.

Chris, these guys are right. Unless your turning 7k rpms, you want to stay no more than 3500 N/A because that will become 4200+ with a 150 shot. There is a fine line here. Too loose and you just waste the N20 but too tight and you loose N/A capability. Your current converter should be almost perfect. Remember that with nitrous, your engine is more efficient and you usually can lower you shift point by 3-400 rpms or more for better area under the curve. The torque increase is the biggie.

HAHAHA, i know, but it's all in anticipation and trying to get everything organized NOW instead of after the fact. Thanks for the info guys.

I think a Thruster Pro 4000 Extreme would be a great all around converter for a N20 and NA setups.

I'd leave what you have. You'd pick up on nitrous with a larger diameter converter like a Pro Yank 3600 Extreme, but you'd go slower on motor than your Vig 3200. Since 99% of your running is n/a, you'll be happier with the better on-motor performance of the Vig 3200.

This is the exact reason why I'm running the Super Thruster 3500. Don't need any more stall for running both n/a and n2o.
