Default yank TT3000 3.0str..thoughts? pls...

just like it reads. I bought my car from a dealer so I could only identify the mods that I could see. Then I added MTI stage 2e heads and a T1 cam(hate it, too mild/old). Anyway, I was recently contacted by the previous owner, who posts on here(1 BAD BIRD), and learned some more about the car. I discovered that I have the yank TT300 w/3.0 str. Will this work with my combo and get me decent times or should i get a larger converter? any comments/thoughts are appreciated, thx.

That was decent converter for something very streetable. Take it to the track and see what 60' you cut. From there you can decide whether you want to go bigger and what you need to step up to.

I had this converter and it was great for a stock car. For your car, the converter is giving a lot up on the top end. Plus, the converter is dropping you out of the power band. With your mods, a 3800 stall would be a better choice.
