Very clean looking install! definatly the best looking install I've seen yet and I would love to see more pics and a write up on your install.

I e-mailed Mr.Gasket/ Hurst Shifters the link to this thread to show them what an ordinary person acheived with a little effort instead of waiting on them to do something for us F-Body owners.
Maybe they will finally get the hint!

Attention everyone,
I think I finally got Hursts attention. I e-mailed them the link to this thread expressing that they need to make a shifter for late model F-Body cars and they have responded. Please view their response. Thanks.~ BowmansRedAlert2

Damn I just cant get over the fact that non of the big aftermarket shifter manufactors want to make a F-Body shifter. Its like pulling teeth just to get them to consider it. There are so many of us out here waving money going hey make a product and take our money Please!!!!!!!!!!! But yet they don't listen and are like "no we don't want your money"! LOL
Thanks for continue presure one day someone will make it and we will be happy!

It's a 5-6 year old thread.
If you're using the search function, pay attention to the dates.
But, ..., I would imagine there may still be people interested in how to do to the electrical changes required.
I have some extra mounting plates for the Hurst QuarterStick that people could use to mount in the 4th-gen A4 console. I think I'll end up throwing up on Ebay.

I don't understand what electrical changes people are talking about. When I converted to an auto I had to run the missing wires. I used the micro switches that came with the shifter and I have no problems what so ever. I then loaded a auto tune into the pcm and was done. From what I saw the 4l60 still uses the mechanical linkage to know what gear range is selected. Then it utilizes the vehicle speed sensor along with rpm and tps to know when to shift. Matter of fact, I know thats the case. The only thing here is how did he get the indicator to work properly.
