Default Swapping Converter and Tranny Fluid/Filter, How Many Quarts?

I did a seach but didn't come up with an exact answer. I currently have a TCS converter in the car, and I'm going to be switching to a TCI as well as changing the fluid and filter. How many quarts of tranny fluid should I pick up? If the search is anywhere close to right I think I'm looking at 8 quarts, but they didn't say if that was for converter/fluid/filter, just said it was for changing the fluid. Thanks for any help.

I did the same thing a few weeks ago and it took about 6 1/2 - 7 to fill it back up.

That sounds about right. I think filling my whole setup dry was like 9 quarts.

Josh,

I used about 10 quarts dry because of a new converter and tranny cooler

My 6 1/2 - 7 quarts included dropping the pan and changing the filter, new converter (10") and adding a trans cooler.

Just remember it's ALOT easier to add more than take some out.
