A4 vs. M6... I am just wondering what would survive the most. I am talking about highway racing...
I am wondering what would last the most between the two with a ton of power and torque, but racing on the highway.
I am just curious what people would want...
My definition of a ton of power and torque is 700+ to the rearwheels on each, horsepower and torque...
An occasional trip to the track would be necesary...

Re: A4 vs. M6... M6. Same trans that's in the viper. The clutch will have to be replaced but still stronger than an A4. New rearend and driveshaft in either case would be a wise investment. The M6 can handle the 800+ hp from the venom 800 TT viper, I think it dynoed at 750 RWHP?

Re: A4 vs. M6... Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the trans in the Viper has more than just a stronger clutch. Exactly what, I can't remember offhand. At that hp, you will break something sooner or later, weather it be a M6 or A4. Probably sooner than later <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

Are you kidding? The 4L60E A4 is junk once you put some real power behind it, especially if it isn't "built". There are guys running 9s with a stock internal T56 with no problems.

Re: A4 vs. M6... The Viper T56 has synco's made out of a different material that is stronger, but I think the Viper T56 parts can be used in our T56's when rebuilding. Probably some other minor differences too.

Re: A4 vs. M6... well the M6 is gonna kick *** on the street, but i just like a4's at the track... sooner or later the M6 will need a 12bolt to hold the power off the line... same goes for a MA also sooner or later.... but if you wnana have fun on street get the M6 and slap in a 12bolt <img src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" border="0"> if you want a track car thow in a converter and you will have a low12 upper 11 consistent beast

Re: A4 vs. M6... M6's rule for highway racing and they'll handle 700+ rwhp no problem, unless you do alot of powershifting. They're more fun too! Just make sure you've got a clutch strong enough for your power level - I haven't heard of too many people breakin' the 10 bolt from a roll, but @ the track that's a different story. <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[Burnout]" />
