well it depends on if you plan on getting a nice sized cam. If not, i would get a 2800-3000 tci or vig or midwest any of those for a non cam stalled car. If you plan on getting a decent sized cam i would look more to the 3200-3800.

Three most common recommendations are Vig3200, TCI SSF3500 and Yank SS3600. Search and read up on them to see what you think. You might want a larger converter depending on if/what cam you end up getting. I kind of changed my mind on cam selection after getting my SSF3500 and went with an MS3. It doens't come on HARD till 4000, so I am having it restalled to 4000 rpm as we speak.

if you mostly just drive the car (and don't race it much or go wot much) go with a 3000 or so. otherwise go at least 3500 to 4000 depending on how much tire you are going to run, your future modifications you plan on, your gears (although i had a 3800 with 2.73's and loved it), and how much slop you can comfortably handle. if you plan on going all out maybe even above 4000 could benefit you, but for most setups it seems to be overkill.

if you really want to feel a difference though get a 3500 at least.

also- had ssf3800 on stock car (besides lid and tuning) and loved it, probably could've benefited from a ssf4000 on a STOCK f-body but i didn't plan on running any more than nitto's.

Another vote here for above 3500. For some odd reason, you are not going to stop modding after the converter which is a good thing, well at least for me. I've heard good things about Vig and Yank (I'm having my SS3800 from Yank installed on Tues) Just make sure you get a tranny cooler for it. What MAF did you get? That can hurt you down the road if you do any fuel tuning later on. Just read up on noob mistakes, MAF and smooth bellows are on top of the list.

When I had 3.42's, the Yank SS4000 was an excellent choice. The SS4000 will drive like a 3200 until you mash it. This would be your best choice if you see some track time. I actually gained 1 MPG over my Midwest 3600. With the SS4000, the rpm's will drop to 5200 rpm between shifts. If you want something a tad less aggressive, the SS3600 would be great too. These converters are 28lbs and the car will fly.

I guess you mean 3.23

The difference between the 3.23 and 3.42 aren't huge but there is a difference.
I would defentially go 3200+ and I am a Yank fan.
TCI is very good as well.
Midwest is a okay converter and good for the price.
To me midwest is kinda similar tp patroit heads.
Not the best performance but does a good job for the money.
