I am in the same boat fuddle or TCI.. I think I am going with the SSF 3500.. I am sure fuddle is good, I am just not willing to accept the risk of buying a fuddle for my daily driver.

Full weight car huh???? Slicks and skinnies aren't full weight hate to tell ya
BTW I pulled a 1.49 and several 1.50 60' on a TCI 3800 SI at 3500 lbs(slicks, skinnies, and pass seat out).

Actually I would consider slicks/skinnies a full weight car. It's a full weight 'tired' car. But that's just me...

I hope you didn't pay $250 more ... TSP carries the SF3000 for $419 and isn't the Fuddle GP around $370? As for some of the other comments - Kevin Winstead is your TCI warranty - do a search on him and you'll find out what customer service is all about. There was nothing shoddy about the external construction. And yes, you will have to drill out the one hole in the flexplate. I originally wanted a Yank but at that time the SS series was $895 and I couldn't see the price differential making sense. My TCI has worked great from day one and I'm really pleased with it.

with driveabily and gas mileage in mind, which is a better converter for a daily driver, a TCI 3000 or 3500 with a 3.73 rear

I forgot to mention, thread hijacking isn't the way to go about it either.

When in doubt, GO BIGGER. Rule of thumb is pick the size you want and then go one bigger. I knew that rule when I got a converter and got a 3500. Guess what....it's coming back a 4000 now.
