4L60E and 4L65E questions
4L60E and 4L65E questions ok i plan to tear into my tranny sooner or later first im gunna collect some parts and such....
i have a 4L60E tranny currently and id like to convert it to a 4L65E bullet proof tranny, and i mean to the point it could handle well over 400hp + and 400ftlbs + of torq and last well over 100k miles with no problems or anything the hp rating im over dreamin a bit but lol i want some idea to gettin this tranny to last me

Handling 400HP isn't really a problem. You won't get 100K out of it though. No matter what extent you go to building a 4L6X, it does not have enough total friction surface in the band or in the 3-4 clutch pack to last that long. Removing torque management is a popular programming modification - that probably takes 40% off the service life of the trans too.
Read some other threads. You will see those who have spent thousands on new fully-built performance 4L60-E or 4L65-E transmissions. You'll see how happy they seem to be with them. Read some more and look for those who went through this all long enough ago to have some real miles on one. I think you'll see a trend. Most of the been-there-done-that crowd have a very low opinion of these autos, myself certainly included.

ya like parish hes had his fair share of blowing up trannys 
and what about tm removal where you sayin that if there is some removed then 40% of the service life then what does that mean???
