Default How do I install the RATECH spacer ??

Got it from Thunder Racing. No instructions. Went to RATECH web site, no instructions. I'm waiting for return email. Has anyone done this ? <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0"> Any good hints/tips <img src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" border="0" alt="[hail]" />

You talking about the Ratech pinion collar?

If so, it's in the rearend. Most of time you would not replace it untill you do a gear change/carrier rebuild.

Use a pair of calipers to measure your factory crush sleeve (the one you remove) Shim the spacer to the same thickness and install to test the preload. If too loose, remove some shim, if to tight, add some shim. Make sure everything is CLEAN or you may get erraneous measurements

Yes, it's the pinion spacer.
Had a seal leak last year, & I want to do the solid spacer so it doesn't happen again.
Hopin it makes the ring/pinion last longer too.
